I’m an information architect and user experience specialist based in New York City. I bring a unique combination of skill-sets and traits to my work. Most importantly, I have a deep desire to understand why people do what they do. When users react to a site or app in an unexpected way, I’m eager to uncover their internal logic so the project can be made more successful. My empathetic nature helps me to get inside users’ heads and act as a champion for their perspective during the development of any product.
In addition, I’m a reliable project manager and strong communicator, dedicated to sticking to timelines and helping teams stay on track. Much of this comes naturally to me, but it also stems from my time as a theater stage manager back in college. It was a great way to learn how to manage people and time within a creative - and sometimes emotional - environment. As a result, I’m practiced at giving constructive feedback in a supportive way and am always willing to sit down and talk through a project, issue, or my findings.
Finally, did I mention that I'm a really hard worker? I've been known to stand outside for hours in 20-degree weather to get feedback on an iPhone app, sharing jokes and hot cocoa with chilly strangers.
